Abstract: PURPOSE: A method of providing a streaming service in a heterogeneous wireless network and a system are provided to offer a high-quality streaming service in a way where the encoding bit rate of a video stream is maximized. CONSTITUTION: A system providing streaming service chooses at least two or more paths as virtual paths among paths which are provided by a heterogeneous wireless network. The system detects the property of the two or more virtual paths(S100). Based on the property, a system calculates the maximum bit rate of a video stream encoding for each virtual path. The system chooses paths with the highest bit rate among the paths as a path for delivering a packet(S200).
