Abstract: 본 발명은 모바일 IPTV 서비스 제공 방법 및 이를 위한 시스템이 개시된다. 동일한 채널 그룹에 소속된 채널의 스트림을 수신중인 단말에서 수행되는 모바일 IPTV 서비스 제공 방법은, 현재 서비스 제공 중인 채널과 상기 선택된 채널이 동일한 채널 그룹에 속하는지 판단하는 단계 및 상기 판단 결과 동일한 채널 그룹에 속하는 경우, 상기 단말이 수신중인 채널의 스트림에서 상기 선택된 채널의 IPTV 채널 스트림을 디코딩하는 단계를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다. 따라서, 동일한 채널 그룹내의 다른 채널로 채널을 변경할 시 평균 처리 복잡도를 최소화하고 사용자의 빠른 채널 변경을 보장할 수 있다.

2. 발명이 해결하려고 하는 기술적 과제
본 발명은, 방송 서비스와 통신 서비스의 대역폭을 통합하고, 방송 채널을 사용자의 요청에 의해 전송하는 IP 계층 상의 IPTV 서비스로 대체함에 있어, CATV 네트워크의 MAC 프로토콜인 DOCSIS 프로토콜을 고려하여 채널 변경 지연 없이 IPTV 서비스를 제공함으로써, 사용자의 원활한 채널 변경을 지원하는 동시에 상향 대역을 효율적으로 사용하기 위한, IPTV 서비스 제공 기능을 가지는 CATV 네트워크 시스템 및 그 방법을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있음.
3. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
본 발명은, IIPTV 서비스 제공 기능을 가지는 CATV 네트워크 시스템에 있어서, 방송 서버로부터 모든 채널 데이터를 수신하며, 방송 서비스의 대역폭과 통신 서비스의 대역폭을 통합하고, CATV 네트워크의 MAC 프로토콜인 DOCSIS 프로토콜 확장 스택의 계층 구조를 기반으로 채널 변경 지연 없이, 케이블 모뎀(CM)으로부터 요청받은 해당 채널 데이터를 제공하되, 연속 채널 변경 모드로 동작시, 현재 사용자가 시청하고 있는 채널('현재 채널')의 인접 채널('제1 인접 채널')을 상향 대역 할당 주기(Grant Interval)에 맞춰 미리 전송하기 위한 케이블 모뎀 종단 장치; 및 상기 케이블 모뎀 종단 장치로 특정 채널 데이터를 요청하고, 해당 채널 데이터를 제공받기 위한 다수의 케이블 모뎀을 포함함.

본 발명은 CATV 네트워크 시스템 등에 이용됨.

Abstract: 본 발명은 모바일 IPTV 서비스 제공 방법 및 이를 위한 시스템이 개시된다. 현재 서비스 중이 채널이 소속된 채널 그룹에 소속된 모든 채널의 스트림을 수신하는 중인 단말에서 수행되는 모바일 IPTV 서비스 제공 방법은, 선택된 채널에 대하여 현재 서비스 제공 중인 채널과 상기 선택된 채널이 동일한 채널 그룹에 속하는지 판단하는 단계 및 상기 판단 결과 동일한 채널 그룹에 속하는 경우, 상기 단말이 수신중인 채널의 스트림에서 상기 선택된 채널의 IPTV 채널 스트림을 디코딩하는 단계를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다. 따라서, 채널 선택 선호도를 기반으로 채널 그룹을 생성하고, 채널 그룹의 채널 스트림을 포함하는 멀티캐스트 스트림을 브로드캐스트하기 때문에 동일한 채널 그룹내의 다른 채널로 채널을 변경할 시 평균 처리 복잡도를 최소화하고 사용자의 빠른 채널 변경을 보장한다는 장점이 있다.

The BS partially cuts the enhancement layer of the IPTV stream according to the combination of the coding rate. The BS outputs the transmission IPTV stream.
