    Abstract: fixing means for measuring displacement (15, 16) on the building component; drilling a hole (20, 21) in the measuring zone and applying a feeding pressure on a flat jack inserted in the hole; analysing the measured displacements on the basis of the feeding pressure to determine the stress from a feeding pressure which substantially compensates the deformation of the component caused by drilling the hole. The measuring means comprise two arms (15) which are fixed to the element in two respective anchoring points (X) aligned parallel to a measuring direction, and at least two movement sensors (16) mounted on the arms on either side of the anchoring points to measure the spacing variations between the anchoring points. The arms (15) allow between them a space through which the hole is drilled, in median position relative to the anchoring points.
