    Abstract: PURPOSE: A dual specific phosphatase with anticancer activity is provided. It specifically inhibits ERK(extra-cellular regulated kinase) activity and proceeding of from G1 to S, therefore, it is useful for the treatment of cancer associated with MAP-kinase(mitogen-activated protein kinase) pathway. CONSTITUTION: The drosophila MAPK phosphatase gene specifically inhibiting the ERK has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, in which the ERK is derived from mammals or Drosophila. An expression vector containing the drosophila MAPK phosphatase gene is selected from the group consisting of pOT2-DMKP-3, pMT/V5-DMKP-3, pPacPL-DMKP-3, pcDNA3.1-DMKP-3 and pB42AD-DMKP-3. The drosophila MAPK phosphatase has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.
