    Abstract: PURPOSE: A lap on a chip system in which the chips are connected each other by numerous capillaries are provided, therefore the costs and time for producing the lap on a chip system can be decreased, and its applications can be easily modified by change of kinds of capillaries. CONSTITUTION: The lap on a chip system contains various types of lap on a chip modules, wherein each module carries out each distinct function including reaction with samples, separation and detection and the chips are connected each other by numerous capillaries; the capillaries are selected from the hollow type capillary, small sized material-packing capillary, gel type polymer-packing capillary and inner surface-treated capillary; the gel is agarose, polyacrylamide or cellulose; and the capillary is made of crystal, melted silica, glass or polymer. The lap on a chip module is produced by using two lower plates(1) having channels, plastic pipes(2), a capillary(3), covering plates(4) and pipette tips(5).
