Abstract: Production of alkyldichlorosilanes by the copper-catalysed direct reaction of metallic silicon with alkyl chlorides involves reaction with a mixture of alkyl chloride and hydrogen chloride or another alkyl chloride which forms hydrogen chloride under reaction conditions. A method for the production of alkyldichlorosilanes of formula (3) involves the direct reaction of metallic silicon, in presence of a copper catalyst, with a mixture of: (a) an alkyl chloride of formula (1) and (b) hydrogen chloride or an alkyl chloride of formula (2) which forms HCl at reaction temperature: RCl (1) + R1Cl (2) right arrow RSiHCl2 (3) + RSiCl3 (4) R = linear, branched or cyclic 3-10C alkyl; R1 = H or a prim., sec. or tert. 4-6C alkyl group.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing alkenyl chlorosilanes is provided, thereby simultaneously preparing both alkenyl dichlorosilane and alkenyltrichlorosilane in higher yield. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing alkenyl dichlorosilane represented by formula (1) and alkenyl trichlorosilane represented by formula (2) comprises reacting alkenyl chloride of formula (3) and hydrogen chloride with metal silicon using metal copper or copper compound capable of releasing metal copper as a catalyst, and organic phosphine compound or nickel chelate thereof as a cocatalyst, wherein R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different and hydrogen, methyl or chlorine; n is 0 or 1; and the cocatalyst is organic phosphine nickel chelate of formula (4): NixL1yL2 or organic phosphine of formula (5) in which L1 is organic phosphine of formula (5), L2 is hydrogen, chlorine, or ligand connected to nickel metal, x, y and z are independently 0 or 1, R4 is aryl or first alkyl, and m is 1, 2 or 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing alkyldichlorosilanes is provided, thereby preparing alkyldichlorosilanes in higher yield without by-products. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing alkyldichlorosilanes of the formula 3:RSiHCl2 comprises reacting alkyl chloride of the formula 1:RCl and hydrogen chloride of the formula 2:R¬1Cl or alkylchloride mixed gas with metal silicon in a reactor in the presence of catalyst, wherein R is C3-10 straight, branched chain or ring alkyl; R1 is hydrogen or C4-6 primary, secondary or tertiary alkyl; the amount of the compound of the formula 2 used is 1 to 6 times of the compound of the formula 1; the reactor is fluidized bed reactor or spiral agitator; the amount of the catalyst used is 1 to 20 wt.%; the metal silicone has the size of 50 to 200 meshes; the reaction temperature is 200 to 350 deg. C; and co-catalyst of the copper catalyst is selected from NiCl2(dppm), NiCl2(dppe), NiCl2(dppb), NiCl2(dppp), NiCl2(dppd), nickel, tin, zinc, cadmium, potassium, titanium, silver, magnesium or manganese.
