    Abstract: PURPOSE: A superhydrophobic/lipophilic surface structure including high aspect ratio nano-structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to be used as effective material for separating water from oil. CONSTITUTION: A superhydrophobic/lipophilic surface structure includes nano-structures at high aspect ratio. The ratio of height to width of the nano-structures at high aspect ratio is 1-100. A hydrophobic thin film is included on top of the nano-structures at high aspect ratio. A manufacturing method of the superhydrophobic/lipophilic surface structure comprises the following steps: surface treating the polymer in order to form the nano-structures having the ratio of height to width is 1-100; and forming the hydrophobic thin film on top of the surface including nano-structures.
