Abstract: A dye-sensitized solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase current density by generating more amount of electro-hole pairs using a forth and back scattering effect. A transparent electrode is formed on a substrate made of transparent glass or plastic to form a lower transparent conductive substrate(101), and a shield layer(102) is formed on an upper surface of the lower transparent substrate. A porous titanium oxide electrode(103) is formed on the shield layer, in which dye is absorbed on a surface of the electrode. An upper transparent conductive substrate(107) is opposite to the lower transparent substrate, and an opposite electrode(106) is formed on a surface of the upper transparent substrate. A liquid or solid electrolyte(104) is filled between the titanium oxide electrode and the opposite electrode.
