    Abstract: PURPOSE: A combined sewer overflow processing apparatus and method are provided to efficiently process and separately store high-concentration overflow water in the initial rainfall and discharge the processed overflow water after the conclusion of the rainfall. CONSTITUTION: A combined sewer overflow processing apparatus comprises a center separation channel(210), a high-concentration overflow water storage tank(220), and a low-concentration overflow water storage tank(230). The center separation channel, comprising a high-concentration overflow water inlet(211) and a low-concentration overflow water inlet(212), transfers overflow water drawn into an intake conduit. The high-concentration overflow water storage tank separates the high-concentration overflow water, which is drawn into the high-concentration overflow water inlet, into high-quality water and sludge. The low-concentration overflow water storage tank receives and separates the low-concentration overflow water, which is drawn into the low-concentration overflow water inlet, and the high-quality water, which is drawn into a high-quality water overflow port(223), and separates the water into liquid and solid.
