Abstract: PURPOSE: A cyber academy building and operation system and method is provided to enable academy members and general persons to actively participate in activities of a society, to objectively assess research papers, and to exchange specialized views among experts over the cyber academy so that it can reduce a man power, a cost and a time. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises an operation server(142), a program storage(144), and a database(146). The operation server(142), connected to the program storage(144) and the database(146), controls an operation of the program storage(144), manages I/O data to or from the database(146), and has a function of communicating with a plurality of society members and general users. The program storage(144) offers selectively a CAB(Cyber Academy Builder) program or a utility program under a control of the operation server(142). The program storage(144) can store a billing program for billing a participation fee for an academic conference hosted by the cyber academy. The database(146) includes a member database(146_1), a paper database(146_2), an academy database(146_3), a cyber academy database(146_4), and an ID and password database(146_5). The paper database(146_2) stores papers, moving pictures, lecture documents or other data publicized at academic conferences hosted by the cyber academy. The academy database(146_3) includes data on each academy affiliated to the cyber academy, such as an academy name, an establishment day, a contact point or an address. The cyber academy database(146_4) stores papers and related data publicized at academic conferences which, after the conferences are finished, are transferred to the paper database(146_2) according to a request of the corresponding academy. The ID and password database(146_5) stores temporary IDs and passwords for paper presenters, paper assessors or audience, and original IDs and passwords for the academies.
