    Abstract: Provided is a white electroluminescent device which is improved in the chemical miscibility of a conjugated polymer having a high luminous efficiency and a phosphor, is remarkably lowered in drive voltage and is excellent in color stability. The white electroluminescent device(100) is a polymer-based fluorescent/phosphorescent composite electroluminescent device which comprises a transparent substrate(60); a positive electrode layer(10); a hole transport layer(30); a light emitting layer(50); an electron transport layer(40); and a negative electrode layer(20), wherein the light emitting layer comprises a luminous conjugated polymer; a phosphor; and poly(N-vinyl carbazole) or a blend with its derivative as a luminous unconjugated polymer.
