Abstract: The fingerprint recognition method is for discriminating the identity of two fingerprints by comparing break points and diverging points of fingerprints. The method comprises two steps: (A) comparing print patterns of the registered and the input finger prints and setting intervals; above upper boundary, between upper and lower boundary, and below lower boundary; (B) discriminating that two finger prints are identical or different if the difference belongs to upper boundary and lower boundary respectively; (C) if the difference is between upper and lower boundary, extracting the characteristic points of input finger print by preprocessing (19) and edge detection process and comparing the similarities.

Abstract translation: 指纹识别方法是通过比较指纹的断点和分歧点来区分两个指纹的身份。 该方法包括两个步骤：（A）比较注册的和输入的指纹的打印图案和设置间隔; 上边界以上，上边界和下边界之间，下边界以下; （B）如果差异属于上边界和下边界，则区分两个指纹是相同或不同的; （C）如果差异在上边界和下边界之间，则通过预处理（19）和边缘检测处理提取输入指纹的特征点并比较相似性。
