    Abstract: The process includes (a)calcining a mixture of MgO and Nb2O5 primarily at 1,000 deg.C; (b)crushing the calcined powder; (c)producing MgNb2O6 by calcining crushed material secondarily in the temperature range of 1,200 deg.C to 1,500 deg.C and (d)calcining a mixture of said MgNb2O6 and PbO in the temperature range of 800 to 900 deg.C. The process is characterized by inhibiting the formation of secondary phase, which causes the dielectric constant of capacitor to decrease.
