    Abstract: The metallic oxide based NTC (negative temperature coefficient) thermistor materials are composed of 21.90-53.68 wt.% manganese carbonate, 7.15-13.56 wt.% nickel oxide, 0-50.76 wt.% copper oxide, 0-35.05 wt.% zinc oxide, 0-30.61 wt.% cobalt oxide, 0- 38.26 wt.% iron oxide and 0-4.17 wt.% titanium oxide (titania). The NTC thermistor is prepared by (a) calcinating the mixed and pulverized material at 750-850 deg.C, (b) adding the small amount of the binder such as PVA aqueous solution and pressure molding, and (c) sintering the molded body on the alumina substrate at 600- 1200 deg.C for 2 hrs.

    Abstract: The metallic oxide based materials for thermistors are composed of 27.86-41.85 wt.% manganese carbonate, 6.17-10.97 wt.% nickel oxide, 0-47.02 wt.% zinc oxide, 0-8.97 wt.% cobalt oxide, 4.13-51.14 wt.% iron oxide and 0.23-3.09 wt.% titanium oxide (titania). The thermistor material is prepared by milling the oxides with zirconia ball and distilled water as media and sintering the metallic oxide mixture at 1000-12000 deg.C through eutectic reactions.
