Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preventing cathode positioning of a solid oxide fuel cell assembly including an interconnect which connects the solid oxide fuel cell consisting of a cathode, an electrolyte and an anode in serial connection, comprising the step of coating the cathode with chromium prevention materials by oxidizing the chromium prevention materials with air received in the cathode. According to the present invention, a three phase boundary of the cathode is deposited and coated with jewellery such as silver and white gold steamed by air which is received during the operation of the solid oxide fuel cell. The deposition mechanism of the silver and the white gold is identical to the chromium poisoning mechanism, which prevents chromium poisoning by firstly depositing the silver and the white gold on the three phase boundary leading to the prevention of the a small amount of chromium poisoning from stainless steel used in solid oxide fuel cell stacks (SOFC).
