Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for restraining the melted substance of a reactor core from being generated in a nuclear power station is provided to safely cool the melted substance of a reactor core having a high temperature through the indirect cooling which is created by a plurality of coolant containing vessel disposed at the lower portion of the nuclear reactor. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for restraining the melted substance of a reactor core from being generated in a nuclear power station comprises a wall of defense(30) installed at an inner middle portion of a pressure containment building(1) in the nuclear reactor; and a plurality of coolant containing vessels(20) positioned at a lower portion of a pressure vessel(2) disposed in the pressure containment building(1). The coolant containing vessels(20) are installed at a plurality of stages between the wall of defense(30) and a joint wall(1') of the pressure containment building(1). The upper surface of the coolant containing vessels(20) is inclined downwards from the joint wall(1') to wall of defense(30). A coolant containing vessel(50) is formed at a position opposite to the coolant containing vessels(20).

Abstract: 본 발명은 원자로의 하부에 경사지게 배치된 셀형식의 구조물인 (cell structure) 다수의 냉각수 보유통으로 원자로의 중대사고시에 발생하는 고온의 노심용융물을 간접적으로 억제시킬 수 있는 원자력발전소의 노심용융물 억제장치에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따르면, 원자력발전소의 중대사고시에 원자로 격납건물(1)의 내부에 배치된 압력용기(2)에서 원자로 노심이 용융되어 만들어진 고온의 노심용융물을 효과적으로 냉각시키기 위한 냉각수 저장조(5,5',50)를 포함하는 원자력발전소의 노심용융물 억제장치에 있어서,
상기 냉각수 저장조(50)의 한 쪽면을 형성하는 방어벽(30)과, 상기 방어벽(30)의 내측벽과 상기 격납건물(1)의 원자로 공동벽(1')에 둘러싸인 내부에서 다수의 단(22,24,26)을 형성하고 냉각수가 각각 채워진 셀형식의 다수의 냉각수 보유통(20)을 포함하며, 상기 냉각수 보유통(20)은 셀형식으로 분리된 상기 냉각수에 의해 상기 노심용융물의 고온의 열을 순차적으로 냉각시킬 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 원자력발전소의 노심용융물 억제장치가 제공된다.
