Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for treating gas, and more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for treating gas which facilitate delivery and storage by making natural gas or petroleum gas gelate. According to the present invention, an apparatus and a method for treating gas make natural gas or petroleum gas gelate, thereby reducing danger caused by high pressure when liquefying. Also, the gelation reaction occurs under atmospheric pressure and room temperature, thereby reducing production and maintenance costs for a facility to maintain low temperature and high pressure. Additionally, it is easy to separate natural gas or petroleum gas from gelation gas again, and a gelation agent used in gelation can be reused. Thus, provided is an economical and environmentally friendly treatment method.
