Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for planning a forward osmosis desalination process and a recording medium thereof are provided to combine the process conditions for feedback for maximizing profits, thereby efficiently searching the process conditions for an economic desalination process. CONSTITUTION: A draw solute type of draw solution is selected. Physical properties for the draw solute type are acquired. The utility consumption and investment cost for separating processes of the draw solute are calculated by the physical properties of the draw solute. A separation process is displayed at a minimum cost based on the total of the utility consumption and investment cost. The draw solute type is selected by the usage purpose of desalinated water by a forward osmosis.
