Abstract: 본 발명은 피부색영역 기반 얼굴검출을 위한 적분영상 생성방법에 관한 것으로서, 임의의 RGB 영상 데이터를 변환을 통해 얼굴 후보 영역을 추출하는 (a) 단계, 및 추출된 얼굴 후보 영역의 적분값을 도출하여 1차원 벡터 적분영상으로 변환 및 저장하는 (b) 단계를 포함한다.
상기와 같은 본 발명에 따르면, 임의의 RGB 영상 데이터를 변환 및 1차원 히스토그램에 의한 임계값에 따라, 추출된 얼굴 후보 영역을 적분값을 도출하여 1차원 벡터 적분영상으로 변환 및 저장함으로써, 저장 공간 및 계산량의 부담을 최소화시키고, 동일한 식별기를 사용하여 얼굴을 검출할 경우, 피부색 영역만을 얼굴 후보 영역으로 포함하기 때문에, 고정된 검출률 대비 낮은 오검출률을 확보하는 효과가 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An integral image generating method for face detection based on skin color area is provided to minimize the load of a storage space and calculation by converting the integrated value of an extracted face candidate area into a one-dimensional vector integral image. CONSTITUTION: A color coordinate converter enables the conversion of arbitrary RGB image data(S110). A skin color pixel detection unit creates the one-dimension histogram on each color component of the image. The skin color pixel detection unit detects a skin color area(S120). A face candidate segmentation part draws out the face candidate areas(S130). An integral value generation/storage unit draws out the integrated value of the face candidate area.
