Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for providing an PTV broadcasting service are provided to use a content within other home network in which the home network environment is constructed. CONSTITUTION: An IPTV service providing unit(100) offers QoS and service control of a home IPTV broadcast. The IPTV service providing unit comprises an IPTV service control unit, a content process information control unit, and an IPTV application service server. The IPTV service control unit offers functions of registering, managing an EPG, and creating and managing a home IPTV community. A home network(300) offers connectivity between the home IPTV terminals corresponding to the service quality or the service control of the IPTV service providing unit.
