Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and device for modeling a virtual channel for dispersion video compression technique are provided to perform modeling of a virtual channel to coincide a Laplacian distribtuiosn of a channel parameter of a virtual channel with a Laplacian distribution. CONSTITUTION: A difference frame is generated(S100). A 4x4 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) conversion about the difference frame is operated(S110). Samples in predetermined reliable section among samples are selected(S120). A sample dispersion based on reliable section area is calculated(S130). A virtual channel parameter is calculated(S140). By modeling a virtual channel by using the virtual channel parameter, optimum probability distribution is obtainer(S150).

Abstract: 본발명은분산비디오코딩(distributed video coding) 및영상에서관심영역을추출하는기술에관한것이다. 본발명에따른분산비디오코딩(distributed video coding, DVC)을위한전체영상단위관심영역(region of interest, ROI) 추출방법은 MAD(mean absolute difference) 맵을생성하는단계, MAD 맵을이용하여 SAD(sum of absolute difference) 분포도를생성하는단계및 SAD 분포도를이용하여관심영역을결정하는단계를포함한다. 본발명에의하면, 분산비디오코딩을위한관심영역을추출하여부호화기및 복호화기의복잡도를낮추고, 처리하는비트율을절감할수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An ROI extraction method based on a pixel domain for distributed video coding and a computer-readable medium are provided to extract a ROI to reduce the complexity of an encoder and a decoder. CONSTITUTION: A computer-readable medium creates an MAD(Mean Absolute Difference) map about an image(S201). Using the MAD map, the computer-readable medium creates an SAD(Sum of Absolute Difference) distribution chart(S202). Using the SAD map, the computer-readable medium determines a ROI(Region Of Interest)(S203). The SAD distribution chart includes a vertical SAD distribution chart and a horizontal SAD distribution chart.
