Abstract:
A transmission apparatus for a DS/CDMA system including a multiple-input multiple output MIMO antenna system is disclosed. The apparatus includes a transmitter for transmitting data by applying a different scramble code to each transmitted data through a plurality of transmitting antennas. The apparatus also includes a receiver for receiving the transmitted data by obtaining a diversity gain based on the maximum order of the diversity in order to effectively detect the data. The present invention achieves an excellent detection performance by receiving data with a full order of diversity, which is a multiple of the number of receiving antennas and the number of multipath, without complicated operation such as a decision feed equalizer.
Abstract:
An adaptive interference suppression receiver for a DS/CDMA system includes: input signal generators outputting a part of received signals of receiver antennas that has a coding block's transfer code; adaptive filter blocks filtering a complex signal output from the input signal generators with a tap weight updated based on a constraint MMSE criterion and estimating phase and amplitude components of a specific user channel using the filtering output signal to generate a channel-estimated signal; a signal restorer combining the channel-estimated signal and the filtering output signal and restoring an original signal; a signal selector for selecting known training data signal or the restored signal; and error generators comparing the channel-estimated signal and the filtering output signal and calculating an error between the two signals.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A transmission system for obtaining a more good diversity gain in a DS/CDMA(Direct Sequence/Code Division Multiple Access) MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) antenna system is provided to spread transmission data by inter-different spreading codes and differently use scrambling codes per transmission antenna. CONSTITUTION: A transmission terminal has a serial/parallel converting unit(11), a data spreading unit(12), a combining unit(13), a scrambling process unit(14) and a plurality of transmission antennas(15). The transmission terminal receives original data to be transmitted, and converts the received original data into a plurality of parallel data The transmission terminal spreads the parallel data by spreading codes, scrambles the parallel data by scrambling codes, and transmits the data through a plurality of the transmission antennas(15). A reception terminal has a plurality of reception antennas(16) and a receiver(17). The reception terminal despreads data received through a plurality of the reception antennas(16), and recovers the original data.

PURPOSE: An adaptive interference mitigating receiver for a DS/CDMA communication system using space-time block coding is provided for a quality service at a high speed by improving data detection performance in a multi-path fading channel environment. CONSTITUTION: Chip matching filters(210,220) match-filter signals received from antennas(40) on the basis of a chip period and output them. Input signal generation buffers(310,320) generate vectors corresponding to signal blocks outputted from the chip matching filters(210,220) and output them according to a symbol period. Adaptive filter blocks(410-440) filter signals outputted from the input signal generation buffers(310,320) according to a tab weight controlled by a specific period and output them. A coupler(600) couples the signals outputted from the adaptive filter blocks(410-440) and outputs it. A data determining unit(700) restores an original signal that a specific user intends to transmit by using a signal outputted by the coupler(600). A reference signal selector(800) selectively outputs either a signal outputted from the data determining unit(700) or a learn data signal. Error generation blocks(510-540) generate an error signal for controlling a tap weight used in the adaptive filter blocks(410-440) by using a signal outputted from the reference signal selector(800) and a signal outputted from the adaptive filter blocks(410-440).
