Abstract:
PURPOSE: A defrosting apparatus of an air conditioner for an electric vehicle is provided to remove frost by allowing a heat transfer medium heated by a heat source to transfer heat to the surface of an outdoor heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: A defrosting apparatus of an air conditioner for an electric vehicle comprises a heat acquisition pipe(130), a defrosting heat exchanger(120), a circulation pipe(170), and a circulation pump(110). A heat transfer medium flows inside the heat acquisition pipe and receives heat from one or more heat sources of an electric vehicle. The defrosting heat exchanger is installed in one side of the outdoor heat exchanger and transfers heat to the outdoor heat exchanger. The circulation pipe connects the heat acquisition pipe and the defrosting heat exchanger through a circulation path. The circulation pump forcefully sends a heat medium through the circulation pipe.

PURPOSE: An air conditioner for an electric vehicle is provided to improve heat exchange efficiency by increasing the amount of evaporation heat using heat transferred from a heat source. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner for an electric vehicle comprises a compressor(10), indoor and outdoor heat exchangers(20,30), an expansion valve(40), an auxiliary heat exchanger(50), and a switching valve(70). The compressor compresses and transmits refrigerants. The indoor and outdoor heat exchangers are installed inside and outside an electric vehicle. The transmitted refrigerants are moved in the indoor and outdoor heat exchangers. The expansion valve expands the refrigerants. The auxiliary heat exchanger receives heat from a heat source of the electric vehicle. The switching valve selectively connects refrigerant pipes connected to the indoor and outdoor heat exchangers and the compressor and controls the flow of the refrigerants.
