The present invention relates to a system and a method for supporting technology development or collaboration capable of providing general information required for collaboration such as technology information on a target of collaboration or mergence, market analysis information on a target product or service, added value analysis information, etc. so as to explore items which are to be collaborated on or obtained by mergence, select the target for collaboration, and use the selected result in a decision making process. The system for supporting technology development or collaboration based on information retrieval according to the present invention is characterized in comprising: a definition module which receives data from a user, confirms requirements to be solved, and defines a target; a search module which searches for the requirements for the target among articles, papers, and news; an analysis module which analyzes a product or a service with respect to the searched result, analyzes a collaboration target, and analyzes a market; a collaboration module which analyzes competence of a developing subject through a self-competence diagnosis, and performs collaboration including selecting collaboration members from a collaboration member group derived according to the analyzed result; and a management module which manages respective processes of the collaboration, checks a collaboration schedule, manages man power related to the collaboration, and manages performance of research and development including a collaboration degree evaluation.

An embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus for forecasting a market volume, and the apparatus includes an information reception unit for receiving a technology or a product keyword from a user; a hype cycle detection unit for receiving bibliographic information including search traffic information, and detecting a hype cycle from the search traffic information for the keyword received by the information reception unit; and a forecasting model performing unit which calculates the maximum market volume at a specific timing of the detected hype cycle, creates a forecasting model by using the calculated maximum market volume, calculates a first future market volume based on the created forecasting model, or calculates a second future market volume by using search traffic information of a consumer selection attribute keyword, which is a keyword associated with the keyword, and a revolution analysis model for sales for timings when a hype cycle is not detected. A user is provided with the first future market volume or the second future market volume calculated by the forecasting model performing unit.
