Abstract: PURPOSE: A technology information providing device and method are provided to offer technology information not only about an area related to the area of a specific technology possessed by a person or a company but also about an unrelated area. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs possessed technology information(S6010). The inputted technology information(query) is stored in a database(S6020). When query information and paper-related information are stored, filtering for candidate technologies is performed based on the information, and the result of the filtering is stored(S6030). When the storing is completed, dissimilarity between the possessed technology and a query is analyzed for N numbers of stored queries(S6040). When the dissimilarity analysis is completed, a query frequency increase rate is analyzed(S6050). When the dissimilarity analysis and query frequency increase rate analysis are completed, extended technology information is provided by being displayed on a two-dimensional graph(S6060).
