Abstract: Disclosed are a bioplastic composition and a method for preparing the same. The bioplastic composition of the present invention comprises a 100 wt% of polylactic acid; 10-1000 wt% of cellulose derivatives which at least one among hydrogens forming a hydroxy group of cellulose is substituted with an acyl group or an alkyl group; and 1-25 wt% of a compatibilizing agent. According to the same, an environmentally friendly bioplastic material can be provided by preventing compatibility reduction, improving mechanical properties such as impact strength, tensile strength, etc. and thermoplasticity so as to improve processability and prevent usage in large numbers of organic solvent and implement biodegradable properties.
