    Abstract: PURPOSE: A technique for transmitting data by sensing periodical control and effectively managing the energy of a sensor node are provided to effectively mange the energy of a node by flexibly controlling a next sensing period by considering the changing amount of sensed data and the energy residual amount of a sensor node. CONSTITUTION: An energy level is divided into three parts: an upper, a middle, and a lower part(100). A fixed constant is substituted to each level. The difference of collected data is obtained from a sensor and data which is previously stored in a memory(200). A new sensing period is calculated by considering the energy residual amount, data change amount, and previous sensing period(300). The new sensing period is substituted as a minimum value and a maximum value of a period in a case of the size of the period exceeds a predetermined range.
