PURPOSE: Cartridge-type filter media of a functional air purifier are provided, which are excellent in water repellent and antistatic properties to perform pulsing process easily, have extended life cycle regardless of pulsing process and can be used without a cage for mounting the filter to an actual line. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method is as follows: (i) mix 50-90% of low melting point polyester, 10-50% of general polyester and 1-10% of carbon fiber or stainless steel fiber, the diameters of above raw fibers being 1.0-15denier; and (ii) belt-pressing the mixed fibers to a mesh of 80-500g per square meter for endowing the fiber with antistatic property.

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an air-cleaning filter for a vehicle, using a filter media made of a non-woven fabric having a good dust holding capacity (DHC) and also a polyurethane frame. The filter media is cut uniformly into a desired width while slowly releasing the filter media wound around a ro11. Then, the filter media is pleated at regular intervals through a knife -pleating method or a rotary-pleating method. A non -woven fabric is coated with a hot-melt resin and adhered and cured to both edges of the pleated filter media, such that the spacing between the peaks of the pleated filter mediais stably maintained, and simultaneously the air-leakage through the edges of the filter media is prevented. Thereafter, polyurethane is foamed using a die mould to thereby produce an air -cleaning filter for cars.

CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of (a) after cutting a filter media made of a non-woven fabric in a certain width and at a certain interval by using a cutter, bending it with a bending machine; (b) adhesion-hardening by applying a hot melt resin on both sides border of the bent filter media by using an edge or adhesion-hardening only by a hot melt resin to stabilize the bent filter media; and (c) molding the stabilized non-woven fabric filter media into a polyurethane-based frame by using a molding frame.
