Then, the filter media is pleated at regular intervals through a knife -pleating method or a rotary-pleating method. A non -woven fabric is coated with a hot-melt resin and adhered and cured to both edges of the pleated filter media, such that the spacing between the peaks of the pleated filter mediais stably maintained, and simultaneously the air-leakage through the edges of the filter media is prevented. Thereafter, polyurethane is foamed using a die mould to thereby produce an air -cleaning filter for cars.
