Abstract: The present invention relates to lead-free piezoelectric ceramics and manufacturing method thereof, and more particularly, to lead-free piezoelectric ceramics which is composded of [Bi0.5(Na1-xKx)0.5TiO3]-BiAlO3 and has a perovskite structure. Unlike lead-based PZT which is harmful to the human body and induces environmental contamination, Bismuth-based piezoelectric ceramics is environment-friendly and shows low coercive field and high electric field strain, thereby improving piezoelectricity. Abstract: The present invention relates to a bismuth-based piezoelectric ceramic and a method for fabricating the same and, more specifically, to the (1-x)[Bi0.5(Na,K)0.5TiO3]-xBiAlO3 bismuth(Bi)-based piezoelectric ceramic having a perovskite structure. The present invention provides a lead-free piezoelectric ceramic which is environmentally-friendly, not as a traditional lead-based PZT which is harmful in human body and prompted environmental contamination and has excellent piezo-electric properties by showing low coercive electric field and high electric field strain near phase boundary.
