Abstract: 본 발명은 상백피( Mori Cortex Radicis) 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 우울증의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명은 글루코코르티코이드 수용체의 핵 내 이동을 억제함으로써 스트레스로 인해 유도되는 신호전달 과정을 저해하여 항스트레스 효과를 나타내며, 종래의 항우울제와 같이 글루코코르티코이드 수용체에 대한 길항제로서의 효능을 가지고 있어 항우울증 효능을 발휘할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명은 상백피 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 우울증의 개선 또는 완화용 식품 조성물을 제공한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing a Lindera obtusiloba BL. extract for preventing or treating stress diseases is provided to suppress glucocorticoid receptor activity and to suppress signal transduction induced by stress. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating depression contains a Lindera obtusiloba BL. extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared by extracting with an organic solvent, water, or a mixture thereof. The organic solvent is ethanol, methanol, acetone, hexane, ethyl acetate, or methylene chloride. The extract is prepared using an ultrasonicator. The composition suppresses glucocorticoid receptor activation and reduces c-fos expression. A food composition for treating or relieving depression contains the extract as an active ingredient.
