Abstract: The vacuum pump protecting apparatus comprises i) a cut-off unit installed between a condenser and a vacuum pump, for restricting an inflow of vapour not condensed into the inside of the vacuum pump, ii) a ventilation unit connected to a conduit line between an electric cut-off unit and the vacuum pump, for executing a selective inflow of air from the outside, iii) a controlling unit installed in the electric ventilation unit, for controlling the inflow of the exterior air to the inside of the vacuum pump, and iv) a temperature controlling unit for restricting an inflow of air not condensed in the vacuum pump by opening/closing the electric cut-off unit and the electric controlling unit and performing an inflow of air from the outside, whereby preventing an overheat phenomenon of an condenser caused by an over-discharge of vapor and a breakdown of a vacuum pump by shielding a direct inflow of the vapor not completely condensed into the inside of the vacuum pump.
