    Abstract: PURPOSE: An electronic pumping type zirconia concentration oxygen cell sensor is provided to measure oxygen variously and promptly, and to reduce energy consumption and lengthen a life span by compacting a sensor with low power. CONSTITUTION: An electronic pumping oxygen sensor comprises a hexahedron sensing disk(1) made of zirconia having a platinum sensing electrode(3), and two central electrodes(4) attached to both sides of the lower part to support the sensing disk; and a recessed pumping disk(2) made of zirconia having two platinum pumping electrodes(5) and heating material(6) in the lower part, and containing the sensing disk. The concentration cell oxygen sensor is manufactured with combining the sensing disk with the pumping disk and integrally assembling the heating material in two-layer structure of stabilized zirconia. The pumping disk is connected to the reverse pulse power to suck and discharge oxygen ion in two preset levels as an electric and chemical oxygen pump. The sensing disk measures the partial pressure by density of oxygen, and amplifies a signal measuring the pumping cycle continuously in reversing the oxygen pump. The compact electronic pumping type oxygen cell sensor detects the density of oxygen promptly.
