Abstract:
PURPOSE: A virtual LAN management device in an E-PON(Ethernet-Passive Optical Network) system and a method thereof are provided to accord virtual LAN information managed by ONUs(Optical Network Units) with virtual LAN information managed by a single OLT(Optical Line Terminator), thereby effectively managing an entire network. CONSTITUTION: A virtual LAN setup/controller(110) analyzes a request command of a network operator, which is received from a command interface(400), and sets a virtual LAN for all ports of an OLT(210). A virtual LAN information manager(120) periodically updates, adds, or deletes information within a virtual LAN DB(130) to accord information with the set virtual LAN, and adds or deletes virtual LAN information of ONUs/ONTs(220).

본 발명은 이더넷-폰(Ethernet-PON) 시스템에서의 가상 랜 관리 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서는, 광 종단 장치(Optical Line Terminator)와 광 통신망 유니트(Optical Network Unit)를 포함하는 이더넷-폰(Ethernet-PON) 시스템에서의 가상 랜(LAN) 관리 장치에 있어서, 광 종단 장치의 포트에 가상 랜을 설정하는 가상랜 설정/제어부와, 설정한 가상 랜의 상태를 포함하는 가상 랜 정보를 주기적으로 갱신하며, 갱신한 가상 랜 정보와 광 통신망 유니트가 관리하는 단말기별 가상 랜 정보가 일치하지 않으면, 일치하지 않은 정보를 가진 광 통신망 유니트별 응답 여부에 따라 갱신한 가상 랜 정보를 전송하는 가상랜 정보 관리부를 포함한다. 이때, 가상랜 정보 관리부와 광 통신망 유니트는 레드-블랙 트리(Red-Black Tree) 알고리즘에 따라 가상 랜 정보를 주기적으로 갱신한다. PURPOSE: A method of operating and maintaining a network for managing plural EPONs(Ethernet Passive Optical Networks) and a device thereof are provided to define a standardized OAM information packet structure and processing method for transmitting OAM information, and to exchange the OAM information by using TCP/IP, thereby removing inefficiency of a system. CONSTITUTION: In a standby state(501), if an EMS(Element Management System) server operates to receive OAM information in IPC message type(502), a system analyzes a header of an IPC message(503). The system decides whether the IPC message is from an EMS client or from an EPON OAM block by using an SNI(Source Node Identifier) among information of the header(504). If the message is from the EMS client, the system branches to an A1. If the message is from the EPON OAM block, the system branches to an A2.
