Abstract: A CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) variable gain amplifying apparatus is provided to reduce power consumption and obtain more gain by employing a current separating unit. A CMOS variable gain amplifying apparatus includes a voltage converting device(110), a voltage-current converting device(120), an inputting device(130), a common mode feedback device(140), and a load device(150). The voltage converting device changes a control voltage to a positive voltage and a negative voltage. The voltage-current converting device changes the control voltage converted at the voltage converting device to current. The inputting device amplifies/reduces an input signal into a fixed gain value. The common mode feedback device stably fixes an output bias voltage. The load device increases the range of a use frequency.

Abstract: 본 발명은 낮은 공급 전압 및 작은 소비 전력에서 조정 전압에 의해서 넓은 범위를 가지는 입력 신호에 대한 가변이득 증폭 기능을 제공하여 안정된 전류 바이어스와 가변 출력 저항에 의한 광대역 동작 특성을 갖는 CMOS형 가변이득 증폭 장치에 관한 것으로, 입력 신호를 고정 이득 값으로 증폭하기 위한 입력수단과, 출력 바이어스 전압을 일정하게 고정시켜 주기 위한 공통 모드 피드백 수단과, 사용 주파수 범위를 증가시키기 위한 부하 수단을 포함하는 CMOS형 가변이득 증폭 장치에 있어서, 크기가 동일하고 부호가 반대인 조정 전압의 값에 따라 상기 입력수단의 이득 값을 가변하는 전압변환수단을 포함하되, 상기 전압변환수단은, 제1 조정 전압이 게이트 단에 연결되고 드레인이 상기 입력수단과 연결된 제1 트랜지스터와, 상기 제1 트랜지스터와 병렬 연결된 제2 트랜지스터와, 상기 제1 조정 전압과 부호가 반대인 제2 조정 전압이 게이트 단에 연결되고 드레인이 상기 입력수단과 연결된 제3 트랜지스터와, 상기 제3 트랜지스터와 병렬 연결된 제4 트랜지스터를 포함하여 상기 제1 및 제2 조정 전압의 값에 따라 상기 입력부의 이득 값을 가변시키는 것을 특징으로 한다.
