Abstract: A data protection method and a mobile terminal for performing the same are provided to compare authentication information to authenticate a user, thereby preventing user data stored in the mobile terminal from being illegally used due to a theft or loss of the mobile terminal. A data protection method comprises the following: acquiring first authentication information from a UICC(Universal Integrated Circuit Card) attached to a mobile terminal(S102); comparing the first authentication information with at least one second authentication information prestored in the memory of the mobile terminal to determine whether the attached UICC is pre-used in the mobile terminal; performing authentication for a user when the attached UICC is not pre-used in the mobile terminal; and restricting access to user data prestored in the memory when the authentication for the user fails and storing the first authentication information in the memory and permitting the access to the user data when the authentication for the user succeeds(S108,S109).

Abstract: A plurality of SP supporting method and a terminal performing the same based on UICC are provided to secure the operation to a terminal using a UICC(Universal IC card) in network of a plurality of SP(Service Provider). A memory module(105) stores detail technical specifications and second information about entrepreneur corresponding to a UICC(200). A terminal control module(101) compares the first information about entrepreneur with the second information. The terminal control module changes the establishment of the terminal corresponding to the first information about entrepreneur. The terminal control module deletes the second information about entrepreneur from the memory module. The first information about entrepreneur is stored in the memory module.

Abstract: A method and a mobile terminal for USIM card authorization are provided to make the subscriber rapidly grasp and response to the interception or the lost of the mobile terminal. The first general purpose subscriber identification module information is obtained from the general purpose subscriber certification module card adhered to a mobile terminal(S102). The process for confirming the first general purpose subscriber identification module information with the stored second general purpose subscriber identification module information(S103). In case there is no information coinciding with, the authentication information corresponded to the second general purpose subscriber identification module information is sent to the subscriber terminal(S106).
