PURPOSE: A receiving apparatus for providing bits of an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signal for input bits of a fast Fourier transformer depending on a modulation method and a method thereof are provided to determine an adaptive FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) input bit number by detecting the change of the number of minimum input bits of a FFT engine depending on a modulation method. CONSTITUTION: A modulation method determining unit(400) determines a modulation method for an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signal received in an OFDM system. An input bit determination unit(410) provides high 7 bits of the OFDM signal for input bits of a fast Fourier transformer in case of a QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) signal. The input bit determination unit provides high 8 bits of the OFDM signal for the input bit of the fast Fourier transformer in case of a 16 QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) signal. A modulation method determining unit changes received OFDM signals into digital signals. The modulation method determining unit determines a modulation method for signals from which CP(Cyclic Prefix) is removed.

An MBS(Multicast and Broadcast Service) control server(140) supplies MBS channel information and service profile information to the terminal.
