Abstract: PURPOSE: Signal acquiring apparatus and method in a global positioning system are provided to obtain satellite signals without an additional hardware by detecting the identifier of a satellite and calculating a code phase and Doppler. CONSTITUTION: A signal acquiring apparatus in a global positioning system includes a first calculating part(420) and a second calculating part(430). The first calculating part detects the identifier of a satellite from a signal from the satellite. A code phase and Doppler are calculated, and a time required for calculation is measured. A second calculating part corrects the code phase and the Doppler using the carrier frequency and the code frequency of the satellite and the calculated values of the first calculating part.

Abstract: A high speed digital transceiver and a transmitting and receiving method thereof are provided to increase a transmission channel capacity by using high order hierarchical modulation method. A high speed digital transmission device includes a header insertion unit(130), a hierarchical modulation mapping unit(140), and a transmission unit(170). A header insertion unit inserts the header into a first stream. The hierarchical modulation mapping unit modulates a first stream and a second stream hierarchically and generates the transmission stream. The transmission stream includes an I channel signal and a Q channel signal. The transmission unit transmits the transmission stream. The high order hierarchical modulation method includes a non-uniform 16 APSK(Amplitude Phase Shift Keying) method.

Abstract: A digital broadcasting transmitting and receiving apparatus and a transmitting and receiving method therefor are provided to offer an inverse compatible function on the basis of a current system, improve transmission quality or increase transmission capacity. A first encoding unit(300) performs the first encoding of the first digital broadcasting data. A second encoding unit(310) performs the second encoding of the second digital broadcasting data. Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for non-coherent integration in a receiver of a global navigation satellite system are provided to perform capable of performing non-coherent integration and coherent integration in real time by considering code phase change according to the influence of a signal acquisition time and a doppler. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for non-coherent integration in a receiver of a global navigation satellite system comprises a signal acquisition unit(110), a storing unit(120), a signal acquisition time measuring unit(130), a code phase compensating unit(140), and non-coherent integration unit(150). The signal acquisition unit performs a signal acquisition algorithm and obtains a signal acquisition result value of K and a signal acquisition result value of K+1. The storing unit stores the signal acquisition result value of the K and the signal acquisition result value of the K+1 in memory. The signal acquisition time measuring unit measures signal acquisition time necessary for obtaining the saved the signal acquisition result value of the K. The code phase compensating unit calculates the code phase shift amount of the signal acquisition result value of the K based on the measured signal acquisition time. The code phase compensating unit compensates for the signal acquisition result value of the K as much as the code phase shift amount. The non-coherent integration unit performs non-coherent integration the compensated signal acquisition result value of the K with the signal acquisition result value of the K+1.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for acquiring signals and a method for setting the parameter of the apparatus are provided to reduce the processing amount of a correlation operation by controlling the frequency resolution of a signal acquired from a satellite navigation receiver. CONSTITUTION: A sampling module(110) samples a signal, received from a satellite, and a pre-set PRN code according to pre-set signal acquiring frequency. Abstract: PURPOSE: A signal acquisition method and an apparatus of an GNSS receiver are provided to rapidly obtain a GPS signal by using FFT. CONSTITUTION: An acquiring method of a global positioning system comprises the following steps: storing a PRN code (S1010); controlling an input signal (S1020); performing FFT(S1030); performing IFFT (S1040); and searching a maximum value(S1050).
