Abstract: 본 발명은 홈 네트워크에서의 UPnP 카메라를 이용한 홈 뷰어 서비스 제공 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 홈 게이트웨이(400)에는 케이블을 통해 UPnP 카메라(500)가 장착되고, 상기 서비스 분배관리 시스템(300)는 홈 뷰어 서비스를 위한 VM 서버 기능부(311), 서비스 제어 데몬 기능부(312) 및 이미지 변환/통신 처리부(313)를 더 구비하며, 상기 홈 게이트웨이(400)는 상기 UPnP 카메라(500)의 자동 감지 및 장치 제어를 위한 UPnP 패키지(402) 및 홈 뷰어 번들(403)을 더 구비함을 특징으로 하며, 이러한 본 발명은 서비스 제공자로 하여금 홈 뷰어 서비스의 용이한 제공이 가능하도록 해주며, 서비스 사용자에게는 휴대폰을 통해 댁내 카메라 장치의 제어 및 화면 보기 기능을 실시간으로 제공받을 수 있도록 해준다는 뛰어난 효과가 있다.

Abstract: A platform-independent system and method for remotely controlling home devices and a computer-readable recording medium in which a program capable of executing the method is recorded are disclosed. The method includes installing a device control application to be used for the management of a home device when the home device is connected to the home network system, bring state information of the home device through the installed device control application, controlling a specified home device from an outside, receiving a report of an event occurring in the home device, and using a SOAP so that the above operations are performed irrespective of the middleware of a home gateway. Accordingly, the home devices connected to the home network through the home gateway can be controlled from the outside irrespective of the middleware supported by the home gateway.
