Abstract: PURPOSE: A portable vacuum-packer for a soil core sample is provided to prevent the property of soil from being varied by the evaporation of moisture, thereby accurately analyzing the soil. CONSTITUTION: A portable vacuum-packer (10) for a soil core sample includes a body (100), a vacuum bonding unit (200), and multiple supporting members. A packing pack housing the sample inside is mounted on a sample mounting groove at the upper side of the body. The vacuum bonding unit is mounted on a mounting part with a sliding mode, and the mounting pat is separated from the sample mounting groove at a certain distance. One end of the supporting member is hinged at the lower side of the body. The supporting member separates the body from the ground at a certain distance, and supports the body. The vacuum bonding unit includes a supporting plate part, a vacuum generating part, a thermal bonding part, and a packing pack fixing part. Guide grooves are respectively and longitudinally formed at both sides of the supporting plate part. The vacuum generating part at one side of the upper side of the supporting plate part maintains a vacuum condition with discharging air inside the packing pack to outside. The thermal bonding part at the other side of the upper side of the supporting plate part thermally bonds and seals the packing pack of which the vacuum condition is maintained by the vacuum generating part. The packing pack fixing part maintains the position of the packing pack with fixing the opening of the packing pack.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A horizontal soil collecting device is fixed to a soil layer by an auger unit inserted into a cross section of the soil layer, thereby preventing disturbance of the soil layer caused by shaking. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal soil collecting device includes a square external body unit (100), a square inner body unit (200), a blocking unit (300), a string unit (400), a soil layer cutting unit (500), and an auger unit. The square inner body unit is horizontally inserted into the cross section of a horizontal soil layer laminated horizontally. The square inner body unit is installed inside the square outer body unit by being spaced and includes an internal receiving unit receiving the horizontal soil layer. The blocking unit is arranged to be vertically movable inside a gap between one surface of the square outer body unit and one surface of the square inner body unit. The string unit connected to the bottom of the blocking unit is extended to a gap between the other surface of the square outer body unit and the other surface of the square inner body unit and protruding on the top of the gap. The soil layer cutting unit is mounted on the bottom of the square outer body unit and includes a driving member driving a cutting member cutting the horizontal soil layer to be rotated along the periphery of the square outer body unit.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) age dating method for a sediment core whose cut surface is exposed to light, which can perform OSL age dating, by dividing particles of a sediment core sample into non-homogeneous soil and sandy soil according to the size in order to remove the core sample exposed to light and by performing a single aliquot regenerative dose through quartz separation, in order to perform OSL age dating using the sediment core sample already exposed to light due to cutting. The OSL age dating method comprises as follows: a first step which prepares a sediment core sample whose cut surface is exposed to light; a second step which classifies the sediment core sample into non-homogeneous soil and sandy soil according to the particle size; a third step which removes part of the sediment core sample to a fixed depth from the cut surface based on the non-homogeneous soil and sandy soil classified in the second step; a fourth step which separates quartz from the sediment core sample whose part is removed to the fixed depth from the cut surface; and a fifth step which performs age dating of the separated quartz. The fifth step measures the sediment age of the quartz as a single aliquot regenerative dose of the OSL age dating method.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A clinometer with a detachable measuring rod and a measuring plate and a method for measuring a strike and an inclination using the same are provided to prevent damage of the clinometer caused by falling the clinometer as a user can easily hold the clinometer. The support unit is joined to the body unit to be detachable and the measurement rod is embedded in bottom both surfaces. The measuring plate is joined to both sides of the support unit. The measurement rod is exposed to outside while sliding in the inside of the support unit, thereby being adhered to joint planes of strata. Guide grooves which slide-moves the measurement rod are formed in the bottom both surface of the support unit.
