    Abstract: A method for automatically constructing a database linked with a GIS(Geographic Information System) space by using a CAD(Computer-Aided Design) drawing is provided to build a shape file by maximally utilizing information included in the CAD drawing, and omitting location and structure editing processes in a GIS system construction process. A shape file is obtained by converting a CAD drawing including an individual or complex facility to be built into a GIS shape file format. CAD drawings, document, moving picture, and image files are integrated and classified into each folder according to a classification system. Match information between a CAD drawing and a GIS is extracted from the CAD drawing, and a database is constructed by using the match information. The shape file is obtained without performing location and structure editing processes regardless of close, cross, and topology errors of a polygon in the CAD drawing to keep an original form of the CAD drawing.

    Abstract: A method for searching a file through a CAD(Computer-Aided Design) viewer by using a GIS(Geographic Information System)-linked database is provided to enable a user to search an object intuitively by using facility information in the CAD viewer through a GUI(Graphic User Interface), and search the file for the object by constructing the GIS-linked database automatically based on information included in a CAD drawing. A GIS-linked database and an original file database are constructed by automatically extracting link information between an object and a file from a CAD drawing without any input(S-1). A position of a mouse cursor is traced, and summary information of the object pointed by a mouse cursor is searched from the GIS-linked database and is displayed. The files related to the object are searched from the GIS-linked database and a list of the searched files is displayed in a screen when the object of the facility is selected(S-2). The file is displayed in the screen when one of the file is selected from the list(S-3).

    Abstract: A method for searching a CAD(Computer-Aided Design) drawing file by using a GIS(Geographic Information System) space-linked database is provided to prevent damage of an original form of a CAD drawing, prevent duplicated file management, and reduce time, manpower, and expense needed for constructing the GIS space-linked database by omitting correct position and structure editing processes in a GIS space-linked database construction process. A CAD drawing is automatically extracted and constructed without inputting any GIS attribute(S-1). A position of a mouse cursor resized and moved in a GIS is traced, and concrete facility information of an object pointed by the mouse cursor is searched and displayed by using a GIS space-linked database(S-2).
