Abstract: PURPOSE: A longitudinal thermal-fatigue crack forming apparatus is provided to form a longitudinal crack by using a cooling block for longitudinally controlling the formation direction of a thermal-fatigue crack. CONSTITUTION: A longitudinal thermal-fatigue crack forming apparatus comprises a heating unit, a cooling unit, a control unit, and a cooling block. A heating unit(20) comprises a coil arranged to be adjacent to a tube-shaped specimen in the columnar direction. The cooling unit comprises a cooling water pump and a cooling water hose. The control unit controls the operation of the heating unit and the cooling unit. The cooling block is contacted with outer circumference part of the tube-shaped specimen. A crack position adjusting slit(51c) is formed in the longitudinal direction in the cooling block. A cooling water line(51a) in which cooling source composed of cooling water or the cooling gas circulates is connected to a cooler controlled by the cooling temperature controller and is formed inside the cooling block.
