Abstract: PURPOSE: 1-Amino pyrrolidine substitute and a bactericidal agent composition for agriculture and horticulture containing it are provided which have a good bactericidal activity and wide range of antibacterial spectrum. CONSTITUTION: 1-Phenylamino pyrrolidine substitute(I) and an acid addition salt thereof having bactericidal activity on a vegetable pathogen are prepared. In a formula, R1 is H or 1-3C alkyl; R2 and R3 are independently H, halogen, 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C alkoxy, and NO2; Q is 1-phenylamino-pyrrolidine-2,5-dione substitute. For an example, 500 ml anhydrous dimethylformamide is mixed with 13.1g of sodium hydride at 0°C and agitated with 50g methyl 2-(4-chlorophenyl)acetate. The reactant is agitated with 42.3g methane iodide, added with 1,000ml ice water, and extracted twice with 200ml dichloromethane. An organic layer is dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate, concentrated and purified using a column chromatography to 50.0g methyl 2-(4-chlorophenyl)propanoate. The product shows good bactericidal activity on Pyricularia, Rhizoctonia solani, Bltrytis cinerea, Phutophthora infestans.
