Abstract: PURPOSE: A single process for producing carbon-carbon composite material is provided in which densification steps, reimpregnation and recarbonization are omitted, by adding ceramic-based antioxidant having brittle-to-ductile transition (BDT) at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: The process is characterized by adding an antioxidant to a thermosetting resin, preferably a phenol resin, and by carbonizing green body composite material to produce carbon-carbon composite material without any other impregnation and carbonization. The antioxidant is ceramic power comprising MoSi2, TiSi2, SiC, Si3N4, Si3N4 or TiC and having a particle size of 0.01-1 micrometer.
