    Abstract: PURPOSE: A phenothiazine derivative is provided to improve photoelectric conversion efficiency and to prevent aggregation between dye molecules. CONSTITUTION: A phenothiazine derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing the derivative of chemical formula 1 comprises: a step of reacting compound A and compound B to prepare a compound C; and a step of treating the compound C with piperidine. A dye sensitized solar cell comprises: a conductive substrate; a semiconductor electrode which is formed on the conductive substrate and contains metal oxide layer in which dye is adsorbed; an opposed electrode; and an electrolyte filling between the semiconductor electrode and opposed electrode.
