Abstract: PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a digital color ink jet printing paper is provided to give a digital color ink jet printing paper having the good physical and chemical properties. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of the printing paper comprises the steps of: mixing a first solution of 2 to 8 wt.% of a quaternary cation polyvinyl alcohol in aqueous solution and a second solution of 1 to 5 wt.% of a quaternary cation cellulose in aqueous solution in a mixing ratio of 1:0.6 to 0.9 to prepare a first mixing solution; mixing 20 to 60 wt.% of an alumina sol in the mixing solution and dispersing to prepare a second mixing solution; preparing a polymer sol by adding a polymer additive to 100 wt.% of the second mixing solution; forming an ink receiving layer containing the polymer sol by applying the polymer sol to a printing paper; and drying.

CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of the printing paper comprises the steps of: dispersing an alumina to a cation modified polyvinyl alcohol and a cation modified cellulose to prepare an alumina sol; adding a cation surfactant to a hydrophilic polymer to prepare a cationized polymer; mixing the alumina sol and the cationized polymer to prepare a polymer sol having a viscosity of 5 to 45 cps; applying the polymer sol to a printing paper; and drying.
