Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing a scanner film for infrared ray photo-engraving is provided, to obtain high contrast, high resolution and sensitivity of an infrared ray range. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing and reacting an acidic solution containing gelatin and a solution containing chloride salts, potassium bromide, rhodium salts and iridium salts by a double-injection method with controlling pH to be 7.2 with silver nitrate solution at a temperature of 40-55 deg.C to prepare uniform particles having regular square-shaped particles which contains 70 mol% or more of silver chloride in AgBrCl and has a content of particles with a size of 0.3-0.35 micrometers is 90 % or more; preparing a photographic emulsion having a photosensitive wavelength range of 760-815 micrometers by using a chemical sensitizer and a sensitizer dye; and coating a back face of a polyester film supporter coated with antihalation layer with a protection layer by adding an additive and a cellulose ether-based thickener, and drying it.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A process for producing a radiation film for diagnosing diseases of teeth is provided by multilayer-spreading a photographic emulsion and a protecting agent on a blue polyester film at a high speed. The radiation film has high contrast and a high resolution. CONSTITUTION: The process contains the steps of: injecting an ammonia-silver nitrate solution into a solution of potassium bromide and gelatin at 38-42deg.C by a single injection method to prepare seeds with 0.05-0.08 micrometer and then washing; injecting potassium bromide and the ammonia-silver nitrate solution into the resultant by a double injection method to prepare a 100% silver bromide photographic emulsion having a round particle size distribution of 0.6-1.0 micrometer; injecting additives into the photographic emulsion and adding 1-4wt%(based on the photographic emulsion and the protecting agent) of a surfactant being an alcohol ethyloxylate 5, 50, 9, a fluorine fluorad, or a mixture thereof, respectively; spreading the photographic emulsion and the protecting agent on both sides of the blue polyester film and then drying.

CONSTITUTION: The process comprises using a slot-die extrusion coater to control a polymer sol(30) at 40deg.C and a viscosity of 3-20cps; applying the sol to a substrate paper(10) such as photographic paper or film with constant coating thickness ranging of 5-100micrometers according to velocity of the application then drying it.
