The anaerobic sludge colony is accepted in the reactor. The activity of sulfur reduction microorganisms, which is in a substrate competition relation with methane gas generating microorganisms, is suppressed. An external air supplying part is in connection with the reactor such that the state of the reactor becomes a micro-aerobic condition. Under the micro-aerobic condition, the generating amount of hydrogen sulfide is reduced and the generating amount of methane gas is increased.

CONSTITUTION: An alkaline material is stored in an alkaline storing bath(10). The alkaline material is introduced into an ultrasound wave processing bath(20) in order to increase the pH of livestock wastewater. Aqueous ammonia contained in the livestock wastewater is converted into gaseous ammonia by radiation of ultrasound wave. The gaseous ammonia is emitted to the outside to be eliminated. The livestock wastewater without the gaseous ammonia is introduced into a mixing bath(30). In the mixing bath the pH of the livestock wastewater is reduced by introducing a pH adjusting material. An anaerobic digesting bath(50) implements an anaerobic digestion process with respect to the livestock wastewater. Bio-gas is generated from the anaerobic digesting bath and is stored in a gas storing bath(60).
