Abstract: PURPOSE: A diesel particulate filter system and a control method thereof are provided to improve durability by preventing the abnormal increase of the internal temperature of a diesel particulate filter. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a diesel particulate filter system is as follows. The operation conditions of an engine are sensed. A ratio of organic soluble materials and carbon particles collected in a diesel particulate filter is selected depending on the sensed operation conditions(S450). A first setting temperature and a first retention time for removing the organic soluble material are selected, and the temperature of the diesel particulate filter is controlled. Abstract: An aging method for a catalyzed diesel particulate filter system is provided to reduce development cost and time for new vehicles, by performing an aging test within a short time period through the post-injection of fuel according to a regeneration logic of a filter. An aging method for a catalyzed particulate filter system(14), comprises a step of accumulating a corresponding amount of particulate matter when regeneration of a filter is required during travel of an actual vehicle, in a catalyzed particulate filter(18), regenerating the catalyzed particulate filter through the post-injection of fuel according to a preset regeneration logic, and detecting the temperature variation of exhaust gas and the density variation of oxygen, hydrocarbon, and carbon monoxide contained in the exhaust gas; a step of putting the variation of temperature distribution, oxygen density and gas density of the exhaust gas into digital data form, and setting the data as a reference mode for the filter regeneration in the catalyzed particulate filter system; a step of performing an aging test for a diesel oxidation catalyst(16) by mounting only the diesel oxidation catalyst in an aging test apparatus and controlling the injection timing and injection amount so that the injection timing and amount follow the same regeneration logic of the filter as the regeneration condition set for an actual travel; and a step of performing an aging test for the catalyzed particulate filter by mounting only a catalyzed particulate filter in the aging test apparatus and controlling the injection timing and amount so that the injection timing and amount follow the same regeneration logic as the regeneration condition set for an actual travel.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, disclosed are S-DPF and an exhaust system including the same for forming channels from the front to the rear. The channels comprise: a carrier including an entrance channel where an entrance is opened and an exit is closed, and an exit channel where an entrance is closed and an exit is opened, and which is formed to be adjacent to the entrance channel; a Cu-zeolite catalyst coating layer formed in an inside of the entrance channel; a Fe-zeolite catalyst coating layer formed in the leading end of an inside of the exit channel; and an oxidation catalyst coating layer formed in an inside of the exit channel in the rear end of the Fe-zeolite catalyst coating layer. The Cu-zeolite catalyst coating layer may comprise a Cu-based zeolite catalyst component. The Fe-zeolite catalyst coating layer may comprise a Fe-based zeolite catalyst component. The oxidation catalyst coating layer may comprise a precious metal for oxidizing a reducing agent, CO, and HC. Accordingly, the S-DPF is formed to perform a function of a selective catalytic reduction by using the Cu-zeolite catalyst coating layer, the Fe-zeolite catalyst coating layer, and the oxidation catalyst coating layer. The volume of a whole exhaust system becomes smaller, and a separate selective reduction catalyst device is not composed. Therefore, components of a casing and a carrier are deleted, and whole manufacturing costs are reduced. Nitrogen oxide is purified in a state of the high temperatures of exhaust gas, so the purification rate of the nitrogen oxide is generally improved.
