Abstract: PURPOSE: An auto-tensioner is provided to drive a part for controlling tension of a belt precisely such as a CVVT(Continuously variable valve timing) actuator by varying force to the belt in proportion to operation speed of the belt with simple structure. CONSTITUTION: An auto-tensioner is composed of two rollers(3) contacted to tension and relaxation sides of a belt(1); a tensioner link(5) providing a rotating shaft(7) for two rollers and connecting rollers; a rotating shaft(9) supporting the center of the tensioner link to turn the tensioner link to the belt; a stopper(11) restricting the rotation range of the tensioner link to turn the longitude of the tensioner link being inclined against the belt to be placed perpendicularly; and a spring(13) elastically supporting the tensioner link to be inclined against the belt. A friction bearing(15) is installed between the rotating shaft of the roller and the tensioner link to rotate the roller to the tensioner link with friction.
