Abstract: PURPOSE: A composite union for a suction/exhaust system of a vehicle is provided to measure the temperature and pressure of a suction/exhaust system at a single spot. CONSTITUTION: A composite union(20) for the measurement of a suction/exhaust system has a T form including a temperature sensor(24) and a pressure sensor(26) for measuring temperature and pressure, mounted on a pipe(22) of a suction/exhaust or lubrication system. The temperature sensor is mounted on a horizontal union(30) to connect the composite union by a sensing line(28) to a temperature sensor(24) from a measuring position. The pressure sensor is mounted at the end of a vertical union(32) vertically attached to the horizontal union having a larger diameter than one of the sensing line. The composite union has various forms within an allowable range of measuring temperature and pressure within limit to the T form. The horizontal union having the temperature sensor or the vertical union having the pressure sensor is integral in T form to measure temperature and pressure at the same time. Therefore, the same data are obtained at a single measuring position with the T-shaped composite union.
